World of Darksiders?

and-then-sara:

It’s probably a huge coincidence.

The first Darksiders game released in January of 2010, while WoW Cataclysm was released in December of 2010. The latter was likely still in development by the time the former came out and the development team probably didn’t know the story of Darksiders at the time. And when Darksiders came out, Blizzard probably couldn’t go back and change anything.

However, one of the concept artists of Darksiders II worked on World of Warcraft and League of Legends.

Arthas has been around since Warcraft III (2002)

Deathwing has also been around long before Vigil’s time.

Warcraft II (1995)

Then the Armageddon Sword was added to WoW in 2008 which was probably during the time when Darksiders was being developed.

However I do see Absalom and Garrosh being more on the side of coincidence. A happy and silly one though. I still love both games to death. (No pun intended)
